Clinical Services
Clinical services consist of a comprehensive evaluation of
social, emotional, behavioural and academic skills with an
objective to devise a customised and goal oriented program
to help the child develop his/her skills.
Psychiatric Management
Mental illnesses are usually caused by a combination of factors such as: environmental, genetic and psychological. Many disorders are biological in nature. For instance, a child who has a genetic predisposition may develop a disorder when exposed to certain environmental factors such as physical abuse. Early identification, diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues in children, adolescents and young adults can help them to reach their full potential.
Prescribed medications play a key role in the treatment. They can reduce symptoms and prevent relapses of a psychiatric disorder. In order to get the most out of the treatment, patients must make an informed choice about taking medications; as well as understand the potential benefits and costs associated with medication use.
If a child does not receive necessary care, they may get addicted to various substances, exhibit antisocial behaviour or sometimes are at an increased risk of completed suicide in adulthood. The likelihood of leading a healthy life as an adult is much more when mental health concerns are addressed early on.
